Podium success in Barcelona: Arrabona Racing Team finished third overall

We concluded the Formula Student Spain competition, held from 1 to 7 August 2026, with immense pride and unforgettable experiences, having secured 3rd place overall with our ART_13 electric racing car in an extremely strong international field of 38 teams!

It was a special experience for us that the competition was hosted at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, an iconic venue in Spanish motorsport, also famous for its Formula 1 races.

The key to our podium finish in the overall standings was the ART_13’s impressive and reliable track performance. Throughout the dynamic events, we were consistently battling at the very front of the field: in the Endurance race – the most challenging event of the competition – we finished in 2nd place. Demonstrating the car’s single-lap pace and responsive handling, we secured third place on the podium in the Autocross event, whilst we finished 4th in the Efficiency category, which measures energy efficiency. We finished 7th in both the Skidpad, which tests the car’s lateral acceleration, and the spectacular night-time Acceleration race.

We also gained valuable experience in the static competition events, which tested our engineering and business skills. We achieved our best result in the Engineering Design Event, where we secured 15th place by defending our design decisions. We finished 21st in the Cost & Manufacturing Event, which covered production planning and cost analysis tasks, whilst we came 29th in the Business Plan Presentation, where we presented our business plan.

Overall, thanks to its exceptional speed and reliability on the track, the ART_13 was one of the most successful cars in the Spanish field. Thanks to our podium finishes in the dynamic events and the teamwork of our team, we deservedly brought home the bronze medal in the overall standings!🥉
